A group of feminists came together to create the Fundación de Mujeres en Puerto Rico, with the aim of helping non-profit organizations that provide services to women.
“Our foundation is not going to provide services, what we are going to do is support women’s organizations in Puerto Rico to be a strong voice. What we do is receive economic resources from individual donations, from foundations and corporations, and we collect those resources to support women’s organizations in Puerto Rico and emerging community women’s organizations, ”said Sara Benítez Delgado, co-president of the Foundation to questions. from the press.
According to Benítez, what the Foundation seeks is to financially help these organizations so that they receive funds that they can use in other components that affect the operation.
